Welcome to Porth and its golden sands! It is reputed to be the oldest part of Newquay and it is here that the original safe harbour was situated prior to the ‘new quay’ being constructed to the west in the 1400s. In contrast to nearby Newquay, Porth lies quietly at the gateway to a stretch of stunning coastline and provides an excellent location to explore what Cornwall has to offer. It also lies on the Cornwall Coastal Path if you should feel inclined to stretch your legs. Being near Newquay you can still enjoy the lively, youthful, atmosphere while being far enough away that you can relax in peace at your leisure.
Porth beach itself is a tranquil haven for those discerning visitors seeking a quiet family friendly beach with safe lifeguard supervised bathing (in season between 10am-6pm) and traditional beach enjoyment with rock pools to explore and streams to dam. For the more adventurous, only minutes away are the world renowned surfing beaches of Whipsiderry and Watergate Bay, internationally recognised for not only its extreme sports but also Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant. A short drive up the coast towards Padstow is the area patronised by celebrities who truly appreciate what a traditional Cornish seaside holiday can offer. For those who may choose to sample the Newquay experience, it is an approximate 25 minute stroll across the cliff path to the west.
Apartment 7 is a newly constructed luxury beach front holiday let with an ocean-facing balcony and rear sun terrace within a bespoke development of 12 apartments known as Porth Sands, located truly within a stone's throw of Porth beach with stunning uninterrupted views across it to the headland and Atlantic Ocean beyond.
This two bedroom holiday beach-side apartment is designed and furnished to a high specification with open plan living space, oak flooring to the living areas and under floor heating throughout, three and two seater leather settees, 32” flat screen television, DVD player, radio and ipod dock. Fully folding doors open onto the ocean facing balcony with table and chairs. The dining area has a table and seating for 4 and there is a fully fitted kitchen with oven/hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and granite worktops. In the master bedroom there is a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets, wall mounted flat screen TV/DVD and ipod dock, and an en suite shower room with heated towel rail. The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinet and wall mounted flat screen TV/DVD. There is also a separate bathroom with a bath and shower over and heated towel rail.
There is lift access to all floors, a cctv/telephone entry system and an outdoor courtyard shower together with a convenient store to leave your surf/body boards, wet suits, buckets and spades. There is an allocated parking space and landscaped communal gardens.
