Terms and Conditions

Please note the following Porth Sands standard terms to which your booking and stay are subject:

Holiday Tenancy:

This agreement is made on the basis that an apartment is to be occupied by the Tenant for a holiday as mentioned in the Housing Act 1988 Schedule 1 paragraph 9 and the Tenant acknowledges that the tenancy granted by this agreement is not an assured tenancy and that no statutory periodic tenancy will arise when it ends.

Maximum Number of People:

A maximum of up to four people. A child counts as a person irrespective of age. Any attempt to exceed this number, including overnight guests who are entertained without the Owners' express permission, may terminate the Booking without compensation.

Reservations:

To secure a booking, a deposit of 25% of the total fee must be paid. Payment can be by either of the following methods: Personal cheque made payable to: Kim Medland, 1 Godolphin View, Camborne, Cornwall, TR14 7RD or by Internet Transfer to Lloyds TSB - Sort Code 30-97-00 - Account Number 01769106 - Referenced "Porth + (Guests surname)". The Booking will be confirmed when funds have cleared. The balance, plus the £100 returnable 'Good Housekeeping' bond, must be paid one calendar month before arrival.

Occupation:

The accommodation will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival.

Departure:

Premises must be vacated no later than 10.00 am on your departure day. On departure we kindly ask that you leave the apartment as you found it on arrival, clean and tidy. Any breakages must be reported or replaced.

Behaviour:

We reserve the right to ask anyone exhibiting unruly behaviour or who make a persistent nuisance of themselves, to leave the apartment forthwith with no refund. We retain the right to inspect the property at any time during your stay.

Waterproof Mattresses for Children:

Please ensure that the mattress covers provided remain on the beds.

Linen:

All bed linen provided, however, you will need to bring your own beach towels.

Services:

All water, electricity and gas is included.

Cancellations:

Deposits are non refundable. Refunds may be considered at the discretion of the owners and are reliant on that vacancy being filled.
We recommend that you take out holiday insurance.

Good Housekeeping Bond:

The Bond will be refunded within seven days of departure conditional upon there being no issues with breakages, damage, behaviour or additional cleaning.

Smoking:

Strictly no smoking in the apartment or on the balcony. If smoking is detected the above Bond will be forfeited.

Families and Couples Only:

No all male or female parties — families and couples only (must be over 25 years old).

Personal Injury:

The Owners accept no responsibility for personal injury to Guests, or loss of or damage to their property, or for other matters over which they have no control.

Pets:

Sorry, no pets.

Complaints:

In the hopefully unlikely event that during your stay you have issues with the accommodation affecting the enjoyment of your visit please bring them to the attention of the owners as soon as possible in order that they can address them. Any complaints received subsequently will not be entertained.
